Solar Energy to Become Primary Fuel Source in US, Europe
The Carbon Foundation – Published Nov 11th, 2023
Solar energy is set to become the primary energy source in the United States and Europe. Already in 2022 wind and solar energy surpassed gas and coal and were among the primary power sources in Europe accounting for 22 percent of energy produced according to the recent European Electricity Review by Ember. Solar production is predicted to quadruple from a current 200 GW to over 900 GW, exceeding Europe’s goals for climate change mitigation.

Solar energy is also growing at the fastest rate ever in the United States because of lower costs of solar equipment and greater efficiency. According to the study, solar energy production could surpass gas production by 2030, but we need your help. We need businesses, farms and industry to help reach climate emissions targets. By building rooftop solar on your business, or adding solar or wind to your farm you can help secure your bottom line by reducing your energy costs and help the world by slowing climate change. Be a part of the clean energy revolution and save money too.
